Ameloblastoma of the mandible often requires resections of the mandible in the form of segmental or hemimandibulectomy. Many times overlying mucosa also requires excision. The best reconstruction option is the free fibular flap, which provides bone, muscle as well as faciocuntaneous tissue. Fibular bone can be double barrel to get a sizeable vertical height of the reconstructed mandible for the placement of dental implants. Total dental rehabilitation can be done in the future.
