Faculty: Dr Vijay Deshmukh is a well acclaimed academician not only in the faculty of dentistry & maxillofacial surgery but also in cross faculties plastic surgery, ENT surgery & oncology.

He is strongly associated with teaching undergraduates,

postgraduates, dental

surgeons & maxillofacial surgeons since last 18 years. His academic background is not a current gain but has a golden record since undergraduate days from GDC, Mumbai.

To honor his academic

contribution in the field of maxillofacial surgery, he has been awarded with fellowship of Japan Dental Association as well as research scholarship from Royal College Of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, UK. He has orated extensively in the country as well as abroad, in Japan, England, Scotland, and SriLanka. Dr.

Desmukh has many innovative ideas in the delicate

maxillofacial plastic &

reconstructive surgery. To excel he has formulated

"Deshmukh Institute of

Maxillofacial Surgery & Research Center

(DIMS)" through which academics will continue.

DIMS is a first institute in the country exclusively dedicated for the advanced. state of art surgery on the face, mouth, jaws, Head & neck. DIMS, has completed four years successfully, and occupies area of about 5000 sq. ft. Has consulting rooms, indoor patient wards, well equipped operation theatre, ICU-recovery, pharmacy & conference room for the CDE programme
